As a mother, you have a 24/7, 365 days a year job. It’s absolutely the best job in the world, and I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else.
Occasionally, though, Mummy needs a day off, which I took on Saturday and captured in (very grainy iPhone) pictures

The Cloth House, of course.

What a fabulous day out, great way to refresh yourself for the week ahead
It worked…I did some sewing today for the first time in ages. The little jeans are 1/3rd done!
What a fab day. I must go to the V&A at some point. That building looks beautiful!
I lurve the V&A. I go every time I’m in London and would go every day if I could!
Sounds like the perfect day off! Isn’t the V&A Hollywood costume exhibition amazing!
It was a perfect day. I loved the exhibition…the best one I’ve been to…stunning and highly recommended!
A perfect and well deserved day. I saw some Ruby Slippers when I was in Washington and they made a great impression on me! Do we get to see what you bought…..:)
You do….I just need to do the photos. I was restrained!
What a great day! How did you like the exhibit? I found it to be one of the best I’ve been to there. I really was impressed with all the effort put into it.
I absolutely agree. Normally they are really quite small but this was huge and so well put together. Lots of interesting detail too…which really made me think about film costumes in a new light. Loved it.
Sounds like a wonderful day! I’m hearing very good things about the exhibition, I’d love to see it!
I really recommend it. There are 3 rooms of exhibits and it’s really interesting. The costumes are, for the most part, one’s you’ll recognise and it’s really quite thought provoking about the role of costume in film. As a seamstress I also love looking at the construction of the garments…Tippi Hedren’s dress from The Birds, for example, is really “happy hands at home” which is very reassuring! 😉
Oh how wonderful. I want one. LOL
Highly recommended. Stops me from being even more batshit crazy than I usually am! 😉
LOLOLOL
The exhibition sound great (and your breakfast looks yummy). Well done on the day off…you’re right Mommy needs a day to herself sometime!
The exhibition is stunning…absolutely amazing. The breakfast was delicious..with great coffee. I must get The Husband to stop talking and actually make a sourdough starter.
I do think Mummy’s Day Out should be a legal requirement! Sometimes you just need to step back for a few hours and be “you” and relax a little. It does make me a better person to be around.
