Seriously.  My plans of stash busting in January are bearing pitifully little fruit at the moment.

I’m not even up to date with my blog reading, having 865 unread posts in my Google Reader. I’ve been too disinterested in things to make myself even more sluggish by looking at all the gorgeous things you productive people have been making.

Add to this a workroom that looks like several grenades have been lobbed in, and, well, let’s just say that I’ve not been in a great place creatively.

So, today, whilst the munchkins were out visiting grandparents, I made a large, strong mug of tea, grabbed rubbish bags and the vacuum, kicked my lazy butt into gear and set to!

The workroom is now 80% better than before. I need Mr S and his muscles to lift a couple of crates that I’ve overloaded, and I have one shelf left to sort, but ran out of time.

Also I’m  weeks behind with the Archers, which is driving everyone I know bonkers.  Every time the topic raises it’s head I stick my fingers in my ears and sing “la, la, laaaaaaaa” very loudly, so I took the opportunity to listen to a whole episode uninterrupted…just 4 left to go.

So now I have all my fabric and yarn sorted into individual bags ready for allocating patterns and notions.  And then I might actually get round to sewing something!

Surprisingly, it turns out that I do actually have finished projects to show you soon.  Ingénue is done, as is Multnomah. Both are going to be blocked today and photographed at the weekend.  I’ve nearly finished a second navy school pinafore for Button, just hems, buttonholes and buttons to do.  As Mr S won’t be home until about 9 or 10 tonight, I might even get that finished whilst I wait for him!!

So whilst I still feel like I’ve not done much, I don’t feel quite as blocked as I did, and do feel quite hopeful that my enthusiasm will stop hiding behind the sofa with a chocolate biscuit and come out to play.

But in the meantime, here’s a gratuitous shot of my gorgeous girl in her Christmas twin set, knitted by Ma, from one of my old Debbie Bliss books:
